Jenni L Ivins

Jenni is a founding member of the Lazy River Writers. Her arts practice incorporates the project management of new work creation and community engagement.

Jenni developed her Mind Drawing style, which she uses to explore differences in how we see and to open dialogues about effective communication.
Her current writing work-in-progress is set in an artists’ residency at Laurel Lodge, where the protagonists are intrigued by strange manifestations that draw them to another realm where real dangers are encountered.
Qualifications include: Diploma of Arts (Professional Writing and Editing), Diploma of Visual Arts, Advanced Diploma of Creative Product Development, Certificate of Art Therapy.

(Mind Drawing 2014 -15, Mind Drawing Children’s Stories 2016-17) - Artist in Residence (The Artery, Warrnambool & Heritage Hill, City of Greater Dandenong)
- 20+ years of literacy work with children and 8+ years as a disability support worker
- Creation of prize-winning poetry, prose, fine art and photography
- Publication of writing and photos in papers, magazines, coffee table book and anthologies in Australia and overseas
- Featured poet on radio and various Arts events
