Jackie Tritt

Jackie is now retired, but she has been a kindergarten teacher, secondary school science/biology teacher, teaching consultant and careers counsellor, apart from various stints in shops, cafes, hotels and holiday camps in her student days. She is now a writer.
Writing history
She successfully completed a writing course with The Writing School, and units at Chisholm Tafe in writing short story, popular fiction, novel, script and writing for young adults and children.
She has won several short story competitions in Australia and overseas, including the $5000 Herald Sun/Collins competition.
She has published a collection of short stories with Ginninderra Press and a crime novel with Australian Pocket Press, which has now been republished with Virtual Tales in the USA. Her work is represented in many anthologies.
She has acted as tutor and editor with the Cardinia Shire, to produce a community cookbook with personal histories.
She is a regular contributor to Pearson magazines (for children in schools).
She has been interviewed and performed her work on several radio stations.
She is a founding member of the Lazy River Writers.
